Northern California Ranch | Eagle Canyon Ranch, California

The jewel of the 160-acre Eagle Canyon Ranch is year-round Camp Creek that flows for over one-half mile through this remote property. The creek holds rainbow trout and is rumored to hide some large German Brown trout. Surrounding the creek are rolling hills with dense timber and woods.
Sitting above the creek is a 3-story, 2900 square foot home with soaring ceilings that was built in 1980. You can sit on the deck only 50 feet from the creek, take in the pristine view, and watch your kids or grandkids play in the swimming hole below you. Or walk several hundred feet in the other direction and play tennis and basketball on your own lighted court.
3,500 acres of US Forest Service and BLM land adjoin this property, offering many opportunities for hunting and fishing. Or hop on your quad or horse and explore than 4-wheel drive roads that criss-cross the property, stop for a picnic at the top of the highest hill on the ranch, and enjoy the view of the valley below you.
Although the property is very private and peaceful, it adjoins the Mira Flores winery in the Pleasant Valley area and is only 30 minutes from the historic town of Placerville. Continue west another hour and you can be at the Sacramento International Airport.
At an average elevation of 2,500 feet, snow is infrequent and usually melts off quickly.
The current owners, who now have children of their own, were raised on this property. They share many heart-warming stories of their childhood years roaming these hills, panning for gold and swimming in the creek.
It is simply beautiful in this area, with lush greenery down in the canyon, huge moss-covered boulders and a wide variety of wildlife. The fall colors are spectacular.
