Sacramento State’s Mikh McKinney with the Game-Winner

Sacramento State 63, North Dakota 61: Zach Mills scored a season-high 17 points off the bench for the Hornets, but it was the All-Big Sky guard McKinney who hit the game-winner.

Cody Demps tied the game at 59-59 on a jumper with 1:08 to play. McKinney’s game-winner came after a miss by North Dakota’s Jaron Nash with 22 second left.

No team led by more than eight points. There were nine ties and six lead changes. Sacramento State entered 0-3 at North Dakota. McKinney finished with 13 points. Alex Tiffen netted 12 off the bench.

Carson Shanks scored a team-high 14 points off the bench for UND, which shot .511 percent from the field. Nash added 11 points and nine rebounds in the loss. UND fell to 1-2.
